Week 2-6.8 in Lions
If you're happy and you know it... Kick the ball!
This week in the Lions class has been very busy. They worked hard to develop their co-ordination, different movements, strength, speed and perseverance!
The children learned about what athletes need in order to be healthy and compete: first, eat well - including lots of fruit and vegetables. Then, sleep well. And finally have good friends to play with and have fun 😊
We also visited the big sport area, where our Lions team practiced the different sports disciplines that they will use at the Villa Luna Olympic Games!
They enjoyed the tennis workshop which was excellent for practicing spatial awareness and also for practicing new forms of locomotion, positioning and moving.
Our Lions love art and crafts. This week they created some super cool tennis rackets 😊 When they take them home, they can use them to try and balance a paper ball from the start line until the finish line! What a fun game!
This morning, we celebrated Gigi’s 5th birthday! Happy birthday dear Gigi! Thank you for sharing with us those delicious mini cupcakes! Yummy yummy!
This afternoon, we have also had a special visit from a professional footballer – how exciting! He taught the children several training games, which they really enjoyed, and then finished the session with a football match!
What a fun and busy week it's been - we look forward to more adventures next week!
Have a lovely weekend!
