News from Cubs

Dear parents, grandparents and friends,

Many greetings from the Cub class.

This week has been a very fun one. The first two days were amazing, so sunny and warm so we spent most of our day outside, in the garden or in walks. Playing in the sandbox was one of our favourite activities and of course everything that had to do with water. We loved that weather and really hope the sun will come out again soon. Moreover, we started the week creating some beautiful gifts for our mommies, since last Sunday was their day! Happy Mothers day to all of you 😊

Our little plant has already started to grow and very soon is going to be very tall, kids are so happy looking at it, the seeds and the roots that it has grown. Since we have our own plant now, we decided to start learning about parts of a flower, petals, leaf, steam, and the seed. The Montessori activity we have created helps the children understand what is what and where does it belong. One of our favourite activities those days is playdough. Kids have been enjoying playing with it, creating different shapes, and rolling. They enjoy the texture of it, and it is very beneficial for fine motor skills.

One more thing that we learnt this week is how to feed ourselves properly with foods that are beneficial for us, healthy and will give us lots of energy to play and run at school. We didn’t miss the chance to try some yummy fruits as well. We found out that those fruits and veggies made the caterpillar grew very fast.

As every week we couldn’t miss gym. There we practised jumping, on spot and from higher objects, and balancing. This week we welcomed one more friend. Constantin started joining our Cub class and we are very happy to have him. A big Welcome to Constantin :)
