Dear parents, grandparents, and friends, greetings from the Bunnies Group!
This week we continued our new summer unit titled” Olympic Games”. We learned about how throwing, kicking and running are important skills, learned about teamwork and sportsmanship and got to create our very own Olympic flames. Let’s take a look at what we did!
This past week we continued to learn about some of the different skills needed to be an Olympian. To be an excellent football player you need to be good at kicking the ball. To be a superb javelin thrower you need to have strong throwing skills. Afterwards, our little Bunnies got to go outside and practice these skills firsthand!
Many Olympic sports require working together as a team. This week our little Bunnies got to practice working together as a team by playing football in the garden.
The Olympic flame is an important symbol for the Olympic games. This week our little Bunnies had to use their fine motor skills to create their own flames! Firstly, they had to colour the handle of the flame. Then we ripped up pieces of yellow and orange paper to create our flame!
This past week we celebrated Maila's 3rd Birthday!!! We wish her all the best!!!
Next week we will be learning about the winter Olympics.
See you then!
