Workshops With a Psychologist

A series of meetings for parents

During the whole school year of 2018/20 we organized a series of workshops for the parents of our children. As we qualified for a grant from the European Union, we thought a good way to use part of the money was for these meetings. We organized 6 meetings altogether, led by experienced child psychologist and instructor of "Respect is a two-way street" courses Hanka Čechová.

Many various topics concerning child upbringing were discussed at the workshops, such as setting boundaries, rewards and punishments, competitions and cooperation, independence and responsibility, handling emotions etc. The feedback from the parents was very positive, and they especially appreciated the practical approach of Mrs. Čechová, and the opportunity to discuss specific problems and experiences.

Many of our teachers also attended the workshops, and gained some valuable knowledge concerning working with children.
