News from Bunnies

7.10 - 11.10

Dear parents, grandparents and friends of the Bunnies,

We left a lovely week behind, which was the last of the project ‘’The Rainbow Fish’’. We thank you all for visiting during Come and Play - your children appreciated it very much. All the activities that were prepared for you were based on the emotions which were seen during the project – happiness, sadness, anger and calmness. We hope you enjoyed it as well.

Since Monday this week, we were enjoying the friendship and support that we can give to each other. On Monday the children tried our new emotion tray, where they used emoticons to match with faces of people expressing their feelings. During our circle time after our regular routine songs, we have been discovering secrets of a box that the Rainbow fish prepared for us. Some objects from our class (scissors, a car, a block, a pencil etc.) were hidden the box and we were trying to recognize what is inside just by touch. Nobody was scared to put their hands in a mystery box, and there were enough good guesses. The outside time we spend playing mostly with conkers and sand.

We did lots of painting on Tuesday morning. Trying to use a paintbrush and watercolours properly with a rhyme. The Bunnies also enjoyed playing a table game with a dwarf that likes cleaning and sorting (Pino Sortino). The circle time was dedicated to friendship. We were singing the song „I love you“ (Barney and friends) and created a rhythm with blocks which we used for building a friendship house. One block supports the others as we help each other. During the outside time we made a long obstacle course that the children were going through.

We were doing sequencing with little bears on Wednesday morning, and the children tried to finish patterns. Playing with playdough, trains and cars was very popular as well. The circle time was a lot about exercising, stretching with yoga poses and songs with movements. After our inside program we went to our garden where the children climbed a lot and enjoyed swinging.

This Thursday was Leonardo’s Birthday. We sang to him when he was sitting on the throne, we gave him a poster and a crown, counted his years, measured him and then played „Walking in a jungle“ There was a candle of course, and nice refreshment that came after. That day we went for a walk and were observing colours of leaves and autumn weather.

We went to the gym on Friday and we were practising our listening skills during a warm-up activity – walking/running upon a rhythm of a drum. We did „animals race“ for horses, worms, frogs, crabs and snakes. There was also an obstacle course for improving balance skills, rolling over and jumping with legs together. At the end we did a relaxation activity for calming a tiger in ourselves. We were listening to the sounds of forest, counting birds and breathing deeply.

We can already look forward to the next week when we will talk about autumn, weather and forest to slowly opening our new project Chipper the Squirrel. Friday will be our trip day, and we would like to ask you to be in the kindergarten before 8:30.

Have a wonderful autumn weekend full of colours.
